High School Class Reunion

I helped plan my 30 year Bonneville High School class reunion this past summer.  We held it at Mount Ogden Golf Course in Ogden, Utah last weekend.

This photo was taken in 1982...that was then!

This photo was taken in 2012...this is now!

I loved the 30 year reunion because everyone just let down and seemed to be able to be themselves.  It was fun to just chat with each other.

Did any of you attend a fun school reunion or family reunion this summer?

  1. The "before" picture is very cute! It looks like everyone has Farrah Fawcett hairdos. But was Farrah Fawcett from the early 80s or was she popular in the 70s?

  2. We attended our annual family reunion at my uncle's cabin in Heber. Our yearly reunion has always been a time to catch up on what's been happening in everyone's lives. But now we have a family website and everyone also has a Facebook page---and so everyone already kind of knows what's been happening to everyone else since the last reunion. The reunion is still every bit as fun as ever--but we all don't have to show all our pictures anymore or fill people in on events--because all of that stuff is online now. :-) Social networking really does connect people!

  3. One more thing about my aforementioned family reunion in Heber---years ago, we would always hike a little ways from my uncle's cabin to look at a beaver dam near his property. We always hoped to see an actual beaver, but we never did. However, the beaver dam was so interesting and looking at it was a part of the ritual of the reunion. But the dam is gone now--probably because of some nearby development---and that's a part of the yearly reunion that I really miss.

  4. Several years ago I attended my Osborn Grade School Reunion (grades one through eight) in Phoenix, AZ. It was a surprise to receive the invitation and discover it was a fiftieth year reunion! However, I cannot imagine a happier reunion than connecting once again with many childhood friends who I remembered and knew so well from our eight years together at Osborn.
