People talk about how they remember where they were when they heard that JFK was dead, I do, but I also remember where I was when I heard that Dr. Seuss had died. I was in my car headed to work in Ogden, and had just passed the Lagoon/Hwy89 exit when I heard it on the news. Funny the things we remember.
Yeah for Dr. Seuss. I love being able to read some of those really old Seuss stories to the kids that my grade school teachers read to me. They are still big hits.
The very first book I ever read was "The Cat in the Hat". I think very fondly of Dr. Seuss.

ReplyDeleteHappy Birthday Here. Happy Birthday There, Happy Birthday Everywhere.
ReplyDeleteDo any of you still own your first Dr. Seuss book?
ReplyDeleteI do! One Fish, Two Fish, Red Fish, Blue Fish - my favorite. And it's REALLY old! :)
DeleteI don't, Mary. The six kids that came after me must have trashed it??
DeleteWould he celebrate in a boat, would he celebrate with a goat?
