Be a Buddy

Jeanene sent this information about a song called Be a Buddy.

Dr. Jean has a cute song about bullies.  She is really great for early grade kids.

Here is a link to the newsletter that contains the lyrics to the song.

You can also see the buddy song on YouTUBE.

  2. Thank you. we have been looking for resources to use in the classrooms during indoor recess. This looks like it would be a good one. Does any one else have resources to share?

  3. Thanks Jeanene and Julie for sending this along. I need to sing it to myself all day so that I am not a bully, just kidding, really at home after work and before I eat dinner. It is always interesting to me when kids are bullying and they don't realize it.
They are shocked when you point it out to them.

  4. Dr. Jean is the QUEEN of songs and learning games! My daughter used a lot of her stuff when she taught first grade. My husband has this awesome bluetooth speaker called Big Jambox. They cost around 270 so kind of pricey. I have been wanting to get one for school so I could have the songs on my ipad and have them come out of the speakers. When I sang It's You I like by Fred Rogers the kids were looking at me kind of funny. Maybe a little too operatic?

  7. A great children's literature teacher I had in college said, "If a book is good for a child, it is good for an adult." As I watched the bully song on YouTube, I thought it just might work at Northwest, also.
