UCET

For those of you who were able to attend UCET, what is something interesting or useful that you learned?

What was your favorite part of the conference?

  1. I was fortunate to be able to attend both conferences this year. If I had to choose just one, it would be a very difficult decision. I was able to attend lots of workshops at UCET (since they went on for two days!) which introduced me to tons of new apps and applications in the classroom, or gave me really helpful reviews.

  2. UCET was very well attended. My thought is that more teachers than ever are depending on technology. I was able to find many ideas to make my technology lessons "sparkle". I was happy to use my ipad during the sessions as well.

  3. My favorote part of UCET was being able to answer a technology question at my faculty meeting the following Monday because I had attended UCET. I was able to be specific in what I said by looking at the notes that I took on my ipad.

  4. LOVED UCET! I do every year. John Kelly's session was a winner and I can't wait to try out some of these websites. I'm looking for new ways for kids to do electronic presentations for research classes. I also got ideas on lots of great apps. LOVED having an iPad to take notes on and quickly go to the sites the presenters were talking about.

  5. I really enjoyed UCET this year. The keynote speaker was so good that I went to his session and it was well worth it. Actually, UCET has had great speakers for the past few years. I enjoyed this conference this year because it was toned down on the "red-hot" technology that we often aren't able to use in our schools. I didn't feel so behind the times and came out with many tools that I can use and share.

  6. I love UCET, but could not go this year. I can't wait for next year. I would love to hear about some of the things that others learned. Sarah, what was the key note about?

  7. Finally, I was one of those who typed away notes on my Ipad in the sessions. I used to have notes written all over the folders we are given. I went to an interesting session about online courses. I think they are going to have high school students take at least one. I would like to teach one. Because of our School Improvement Grant we have Language Arts curriculum pretty much planned. I could add my technology ideas to it as well as information literacy.

  8. I couldn't attend UCET, either. I was laying in bed with my leg elevated and iced. I really love to go and learn about ways to use this great technology we have now have access to. I would love info from some of the sessions about websites, apps, etc. from some of those that went. Any chance? Could we maybe share at our next meeting?

  9. I really enjoyed the OTS presentations. They are short and easy to understand plus it is easier to ask questions.
